A fire pump is a stationary, engine- or motor-driven pump that boosts water pressure and flow from a municipal supply, tank, or reservoir to meet the demand of a building’s sprinkler and standpipe system during a fire event. Systems are engineered and sized (GPM/PSI) per NFPA 20 and are typically UL Listed / FM Approved.
