A fire alarm system detects smoke, heat, or flame and automatically notifies building occupants and, where monitored, the fire service. Systems are built around a central Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) connected to detection devices (smoke/heat detectors, pull stations) and notification devices (horns, strobes, speakers).
